[RMVX Scripting Request, Significant] Multi-Act for PCs

'Everything is Instant Cast' + 'All Attacks Use One of a Special Sort of MP( Actions ) That Are Refreshed Each Turn' should do it, I think, although it effectively removes speed. And you'd probably need to handcode the refresh MP thing in there, and add in one of those scripts to have multiple MP types too.

Although to make it work *well* you'd probably want something to grey out someone once they have no actions left, and make the turn end when everyone on your side has no Actions left, but that would require more than a bit of coding, I'd imagine.

Collaborative Projects

I love the idea of collaboration. I have a lot more energy working on something with someone than working on it alone, but the one time I tried it, it ended up falling through.

Also, everyone seems to be a little wary of collaborating, possibly because of the high chances of things falling through.

I actually feel like if people do a project with other people it's *more* likely to get completed, but if you stop a project because you aren't liking where it's going/you don't have the time/etc, particularly in the early stages, usually no one else knows about it. And thus it doesn't really affect anyone but you.

Befuddle Quest 4 Dead Review

In my puzzle, 3-in-a-row was supposed to be a joke, but I guess it ended up being a red herring.

I was really trying to build something intuitive/self-explanatory enough that it wouldn't need a walkthrough, which is part of why I haven't been releasing one - seeing where people get stuck lets me know what I did wrong.

Are you interested in having a release? (something)

I say we just post a thread that says "Release whatever you opened last in your game maker of choice. NOW." Then people upload something immediately.

If we did that, I'd probably end up releasing someone else's game or an empty map with nothing in it and possibly slightly edited characters/battle system type stuff.

So I don't think that's a good idea.

Comment Notices Removed

It's not like I got a notice when games went from Production to Completed other than by gaining notes like 'X posted a comment on Befuddle Quest 4 goes live!', so I'm unsure what subscribing is supposed to be useful for now.

Maybe I'm missing something here.

Intentionally Bad Games.

aznchipmunk's entry to the action 52 event was pretty awesomely awful.

Agreed.

I can like intentionally bad games, but they're usually *short* games.

ika developments topic

This is looking more and more awesome.

Any ETA on the next version yet?

Befuddle Quest 4 Dead Goes Live!

I won Hexatona's puzzle, so it can't be unbeatable. Granted, it may be possible to remove pillars so it glitches out. I think this was fixed in the new version, though?

I really thought the overall quality of the puzzles was much better than the last three BQs, and it felt a lot more coherent despite it's non-linearity. Most of them were interesting, some were challenging, even the simple/easy ones were usually amusing, and nothing was mind-numbingly hard/unfair. Except 3 cup flip. Darn you, 3 cup flip!

----

kentona - My Pet Zombie
I rather liked this one, although the only challenge in it came from trying to find out the exact radius of the statue's anti-zombie effect . This may be because I've played too much ricochet robots, though.

Liberty - Diggin' the Dead
Random, but kinda fun.

AABattery - Switching Things Up
This was fun. This and 3 cup flip reminded me of each other for some reason.

Aten - 3 Cup Flip
Although it's seemingly simple, it was the one puzzle I couldn't solve. Truely, a fiendish display of cunning, Aten.

Kazesui - Time is on my side
This is a relatively simple puzzle, in that you switch things on/off. Still took me a while to get it, though, due to number of combinations. A little dry for my tastes, but not bad.

Kazesui - Befuddle Guns
This was pretty awesome. It also took a lot of time for me to finish the final test, and I never did finish the penultimate one or go to the place with the *really* hard zombies.

Hexatona - Perilous Pillar Paths
I never figured out how to get the last chest. Nice puzzle, though.

AznChipmunk - Casette Collector
This is a good puzzle. The only parts that annoyed me was trying to figure out what to do after tape 5, which was not obvious at all to me, and the quizzes, due to my dislike of quizzes.

Gibmaker - Crystal Crag
I rather liked this puzzle. Not too difficult, but I never got stuck because I didn't know how something was supposed to work.

Mary4D - Haunted House
Super-easy. I didn't really end up liking this one much.

SquishyWizard - Scarlet Facade
This is a pretty cool concept, but SOLDIER IS OVERPOWERED. Also, sword slash was almost unusable.

thedjt - Bridges. How Ironic.
This was very easy, but had cute zombie dialogue.

VideoWizard - Zombie Room
This puzzle had no challenge at all to it, unless guessing the switch right in the first room counts.

Mikemc - Cabin Fervor
This puzzle wasn't particularly challenging, and the arrow puzzle seemed arbitrary - most of the time I was just pressing in the direction I wanted to go unless it was a couple of tiles away - but random dancing zombies with that music amused me.

Fractal Advocate - Zombie Hard With A Vengeance
This puzzle annoyed me, because I had to go through it twenty-odd times testing for bugs.

Craze - Zombieconomy Sim
This didn't seem very different to me from the other economy sim at first playthrough. Stronger theming and more transparent decision-making, though, which made it better - it just felt like I was playing pretty much the same game. Still, it was pretty fun.

You can always vote for third party candidates... yeah, they don't win much, but if everyone doesn't vote for them because they don't win much....
